KIBA FESTA 2026: Crafts, Old Maps and Local Culture in Fukagawa
KIBA FESTA brings neighborhood culture, craft traditions and the everyday character of Kiba and Fukagawa into one relaxed park visit.
Date and time
Main festival: November 7–8, 2026, 10:00–15:00. The digital stamp rally runs October 7–November 8. Old-map and Fukagawa-meshi exhibitions run October 31–November 8, generally 09:00–16:00, closing at 15:00 on November 8; Kiba Midorium is closed November 2.
Location
Kiba Park, Koto City, centered on Kiba Midorium and Fureai Square. Kiba Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line is about a 10-minute walk away; Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station is about 15 minutes on foot.
Highlights
Explore an Edo-to-modern overlay map of Koto, learn the history of Fukagawa-meshi, and try ikkanbari craft with a local intangible-cultural-property mounting artisan. Other programs include wood and recycled-paper crafts, a Sumida River mini aquarium, markets, ballet appearances with Norakuro, and a neighborhood-wide digital stamp rally.
Booking and admission
Kiba Park admission is free, and the official announcement lists no event-wide advance reservation. Individual workshops and giveaways may have limited capacity or supplies; check the official program before visiting and arrive early for priority activities.
How it fits a Tokyo itinerary
Pair it with the Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, Kiyosumi Garden, Fukagawa Edo Museum or a temple walk through Monzen-nakacho for a full day focused on eastern Tokyo’s craft, food and waterfront heritage.
