Jindai Botanical Gardens and historic Jindaiji become a three-part outdoor mystery route, mixing seasonal nature, temple streets and a romantic story of lost memories.
Date and time
October 1, 2026–September 30, 2027. Follow the route during garden opening hours, 09:30–17:00; admission to the paid main garden ends at 16:00. The greenhouse and Aquatic Plant Garden close at 16:30.
Location
Jindai Botanical Gardens, Jindaiji and the Aquatic Plant Garden in Chofu. From Keio Chofu Station, take an Odakyu or Keio bus to Jindai Shokubutsu Koen-mae or Jindai Shokubutsu Koen.
Highlights
The story unfolds in three chapters: memory fragments inside the botanical garden, a second trail around Jindaiji and the Aquatic Plant Garden, and a final chapter playable anywhere. Early finishers of the first chapter can collect a limited original bookmark while supplies last.
Booking and admission
No advance booking is listed. Download the official TOKYO PARKS PLAY app and collect the free mystery booklet at the Main Gate or Jindaiji Gate. The app is free; data charges apply. Regular garden admission is adults ¥500, ages 65+ ¥250 and middle-school students ¥200; elementary-age children and younger enter free. October 1 is a free-admission day.
How it fits a Tokyo itinerary
